Weigh in Wednesday 4/11/12

I was so good with my eating this week.... but I guess being newly pregnant and my body preparing itself and beginning to grow a new life just made it almost impossible to lose anything! So I was a little stuck...

Last week's weight: 224
This week's weight: 223
Total weight loss: 22 lbs.

I know that you shouldn't diet while you are pregnant, but technically I am not. I have changed my eating habits and am eating a lot healthier, which is leading to the weight loss. I plan on exercising and sticking to my healthy eating as much as I can, (allowing myself a few treats, especially when the cravings hit...) So I will continue to do the weekly weigh in just to help myself keep track of my weight. I lost a little at the beginning of both my previous pregnancies, and then only gained 15 pounds with each, so I am not planning to let myself gain much, and am hoping to just get healthier and hopefully keep losing some weight!

Weigh in Wednesday 4/4/12 (a day late!)

I came back from my parent's house yesterday after a quick trip out to meet my new nephew! I tried to be good, and was a little successful. =)

So, I'll just get right to it:

Last week's weight: 226
This week's weight: 224
Total weight loss: 21 lbs. =)

Weight in Wednesday 3/7/12

Well, I missed posting last week... I was visiting my parents and their scale was different than mine, so I just skipped it. Then this past weekend hit, adn I had a baby shower and birthday party, and let myself cheat, and between that and pms I had gained back 3-4 pounds (I think some was water weight) but when I weighed myself on monday I was at 232... But I got back on track, and have been doing good! So here are my stats:

Starting weight: 245
Last weeks weight: 230 (actually 2 weeks ago)
This weeks weight: 227
Total weight loss: 18 lbs!

I am glad to finally be back on track, and I am determined to stay on track! Now I need to start working out more!

Weigh in Wednesday 2/15/12

This week has been a rough one... I'm not gonna lie. I cheated on sunday while baking too many yummy treats, and then Monday afternoon it was just so hard to stay on track because Ellie spent most of the day fussing, and I was just not in the best mood, and didn't want to think about what to eat. I managed to stay mostly on track, but did have 2 truffles I had made (which weren't too bad, just semi-sweet and unsweetened chocolate and condensed milk...) So yeah, my numbers aren't great this week, but at least I maintained! Hopefully I can get back on the ball and stay strong! And no more making chocolates for me!

So, here are my Stats:

Starting Weight: 245
Last week's weight: 232
This week's Weight: 232

Total loss: 13 lbs!


On a plus, I had gotten a coat from my grandma for Christmas, and it was just a little too small, and I couldn't button it... well, I put it on and look!
It fits! Still a little snug, but it buttons up! =) That make me feel really good! It's amazing how much better you can feel about yourself because of something as seemingly small as this.

*If you noticed, I edited my starting weight... I found my official weight watchers weigh in form from weighing in for the Dr. Oz challenge back in November, I think... and it was 245, not 243. =) So I am using that as my starting weight!

Weigh in Wednesday 2/8/12

Another week has passed, and I feel like I have been stuck for a couple weeks, but after cheating on sunday and eating pizza (and feeling so tired the next day) I got back on track, and am finally seeing more results. =)

So, here are my Stats: (starting date: 1/9/12)

Starting Weight: 243
Last week's weight: 233
This week's Weight: 232
Total loss: 11 lbs!

We used a little bit of our tax return to get an xbox (my hubby wanted it so bad!) and we got the kinect, so I ordered a fitness game, and am going to start trying to do that a little bit every day while the kids are sleeping. Hopefully that will help speed up the weight loss!

Weigh in Wednesday 2/1/12

Another week has passed!

So, here are my Stats: (starting date: 1/9/12)

Starting Weight: 243
Last week's weight: 234
This week's Weight: 233
Total loss: 10lbs!

Another 1 lb loss, but I have some major PMS going on, so I wouldn't be too surprised if I dropped 2 or 3 pounds by next week. We'll see. I've still been sticking strong to my diet, but need to exercise more. We are going to get a kinect with our tax return, so I want to get a good workout game. Any suggestions? =)

Weigh in Wednesday 1/25/12

Well, I didn't have as good of a loss this week... but I stuck with my diet, and I am proud of myself for that. =)

So, here are my Stats: (starting date: 1/9/12)

Starting Weight: 243
Last week's weight: 235
This week's Weight: 234

Only 1lb lost, but I am not going to let that discourage me! I even went jogging tonight. =) I've got some pretty yummy looking paleo recipes I want to try out, so I will be sure to share some recipes!

Weigh in Wednesday 1/18/12 (on Friday...)

I know I am late, but when I weighed in wednesday I didn't like what the scale said, and I knew it was because I was PMS-ing... So I waited until yesterday to do my weigh in, then forgot to write my post!

So, here are my Stats: (starting date: 1/9/12)

Starting Weight: 243
Last week's weight: 240
This week's Weight: 235

Total weight loss: 8 pounds!!! In a week and a half!!!

I am so proud of myself for sticking with this diet this long... I usually cheat and blow it within a day or two of starting, but not this time... I will do a separate post of what diet I am following, so stay tuned if you are interested!

Weigh in Wednesday 1/11/12

I know, it's a little late, but better late than never, right?

So, I have been on the paleo diet 3 days now (though I kinda watched what I ate for a week or so before) and aside from the headache I think is due to the sugar withdrawl, I am feeling pretty good!

Starting Weight: 243
Last week's weight: 243
This week's weight: 240

Total weight loss: 3 pounds!

So exciting! I usually fluctuate between 240 and 245, so getting under 240 will be exciting for me!

And because I didn't last week, I am going to post a before picture.... (against my better judgement...)

Day 1

Today was day one of eating Paleo, and it wasn't bad! I had eggs and fruit for breakfast, fish and a beet soup I made for lunch, and a steak, salad and cabbage for dinner. For snacks I had some almonds or fruit.

I know I was going to start last week, but things happened, and I didn't... oh well. =)

I also came across loseit.com (thanks to a friend) and it is cool! It lets you track your calories, exercise and your weight loss goal and tells you how long it will take to get to that goal. There is also an app for your phone, which I love!

Anyways, here's to day 2! Hoping it gets easier and easier!

Resolutions

Well, it's that time of the year again... When we all make resolutions that most of us break a week or a month later.

And I figure, why break tradition? Though this year I really need to get serious about making healthy changes.

My sister has been doing the paleo diet, and I can see the changes in her. She is a night shift nurse, and isn't even drinking coffee anymore when she used to drink several cups a day. And she looks great. (though she always has.) se also says he has never felt better.

So I know I may not be able to go completely paleo, partially because of the cost, but I am going to really try and cut out sugars grains and dairy. I figure my first goal will be to get through a week. Then I am sure I will notice a difference in how I feel, which will help motivate me to keep going.

I am also going to try and get myself out of the mentality of "oh, I failed... I had a cookie, might as well have 3..." and instead be like well, I had a cookie. Not the best choice, but I can keep making better choices. I don't want the little setbacks to turn into roadblocks.

I can do this! I need to do this! I will do this! 2012 is going to be the year I finally get healthy.

I am going to try and do a weekly post, like a weigh in Wednesday... Can't promise it will be every week, but I will try!

And so you know where I am starting, my current weight is: 243lbs

My goal is to get under 200. I will never be skinny, but when I weighed 190 I was happy. I felt great and felt good about myself.

So that's where I'm at for this year... What are your goals or resolutions?

Weekly weigh in



I thought I would have gained this week. I didn't eat all that great, we went camping at my parent's property this past weekend, and there was all kinds of good stuff to eat. But, I didn't do so bad!

Last week's weight: 240

This week:

I lost a pound! I know that when I was pregnant with Jack I lost a little in the beginning too. Hopefully it will continue. My goal is to not gain anything with this pregnancy. (Which at my weight, is healthy) I only gained 15 lbs with Jack, and I was at about the same weight, so it is possible!

weekly weigh in

Well, not that I am preggo, I am not going to be trying to lose weight as much. I am still pretty overweight though, and since I want this baby to be healthy, I am really wanting to get on track with eating healthy and exercising. If that leads to some weight loss, then great! I know that my losing some weight will be healthier for me and the baby.

But, I am not going to stress over the numbers. Some weeks I may post my weight, some weeks I may not. But I will try and update how I'm doing, at least!

Anyways, I didn't post last week, and the week before I was back up to 243, so where am I this week?

*I took a picture this morning, and for some reason it is not on the camera! stinky!

But, I am at 240! So, in the past 2 weeks I have lost 3 pounds! Not too shabby. =)

weekly weigh In week 6 (I think?)

I missed last week... and I am back to square one. no picture this week. It has been a bad couple weeks diet wise, and I gained it all back. My son's first birthday, In-laws visiting and taking us out to eat and buying too much junk food, and my inability to not eat junk when it's around.... which is why I try not to keep it in my house...

so anyways... I am back on track starting Monday (another birthday party sunday...) and hopefully I will have better news to report next week!

Weekly Weigh In: Week 5


Are we seriously already 5 weeks into this thing? geez!

I wasn't sure about this week with the holiday weekend, but I tried to balance what I was eating a little more than usual, and exercise a little more (just walking, but it's better than nothing!) And I think it paid off!

Here is last week's picture, at about 240:


And this week's:

at about 238! yay! I managed to lose a pound and a half or two! =) Yay me!

Weekly Weigh In: Week 4

It was another ok week. It was funny actually, I got on the scale with my "big" camera, and was like what the heck, I gained 2 lbs?!? I didn't think I was that bad! but then I went back in to grab my camera later that I had left, and decided to step on the scale again without my camera, and was a lot happier to see I had actually not gained! But, I didn't lose either... oh well. I am really starting to get on the ball though. A friend and I are starting to walk a few days a week, and I walked for at least 45 minutes last night (I am feeling it slightly today!) and I went grocery shopping yesterday and didn't buy any junk foods, just good stuff!

Anyways, without further adieu:

I was at 240 last week, and again this week...
At least I didn't gain! hehe.

Weekly Weigh In: Week 3

Another week has passed? geez... I totally forgot until I saw some of the other ladies' posts! Oops!

Anyways, last week I was at about 241... and this week:


240! I lost another 4 sticks of butter. Honestly, I didn't think I was going to do all that great this week... and I didn't eat great, but we did walk to the park several times, so even that little bit of exercise paid off some!

Weekly Weigh In. Week 2.




It's another week already! I have to say that I didn't think I would lose any this week.....

It says I lost a pound... but I think it is more because I ate before last week's weigh in, and weighed on an empty stomach today. hehe. But I do want to try and do better this week... I really need to just get the ball rolling. I am starting back on using myfitnesspal.com If you haven't heard of it, it is a free site that lets you track your calories and excercise, etc. every day. and it has a huge food database so you rarely have to enter the info in yourself!

Weekly Weigh In. Week 1

So Marvelous Mommy is starting this weekly weigh in... And as much as I hate to post my weight on here, I think it might be the motivation to finally get my butt in gear.



So, here goes:


Yes, that says 242. Keep in mind that at my thinnest as an adult, I weighed 180 and was thin. I will never be skinny. I would love to get to 190... that is 50 pounds. So, this is my starting point. I will try and post every week to keep you updated!
