3 day weekend!

Ahhhh! I am off of work for 3 days! What a great feeling. And the weather? Perfect! It is cold and windy, and we may actually get some rain! (not to mention a bit of snow up in the hills) I love this weather! I am even wearing a sweatshirt right now!

Tomorrow we are getting up early to help our friends Adam and Renee move. They bought a house near us (well, closer than before!) so we are going to help them get as much moved as we can tomorrow. =) Hopefully we can get lots done!
After that, Josh and I have massages scheduled at Massage Envy! I am so excited! Mine is free because of some photos I did for the owner of the place, and Josh is getting his 1 1/2 hour for only $39! What a sweet deal!
Sunday we are having brunch with my grandma, and then we have nothing planned, and monday I am going to clean and then be lazy!

I am so glad fall is here! I love the cold weather!

light the night!

last night we were in California for the Leukemia and lymphoma society's light the night walk. It was neat to see a bunch of people there to support the cause, and to see the people walking with white "survivor" balloons, (including my mom!)
The event last night raised over $40,000!
One thing I think I am going to sign up for now is the Team in Training. It is a team you are a part of that trains you to run/walk a marathon or half marathon, (which is what I would do... it is 13.1 miles.) I think it would be really good for me to help motivate me more to lose weight and get in shape. =) The marathon I would aim for would be next June in Seattle. You have to raise enough money to cover your expenses plus like 3 times that for the charity. (so like if my expenses were $500, I would have to raise $2000)
So yeah, I am waiting to get some information back from someone, I know there are meetings in Reno, so that is where I would go. I think it will be fun!

Achy feet, problems solved and we're going camping!

I hate trying to think of clever titles... I am so not creative when it comes to that sort of thing. Just wanted to share. =)
Anyways, my feet hurt. I think I mentioned it in a blog last week, but these long shifts at the pharmacy are just killing my feet, and I can't wait until I have the money to buy a good pair of supportive shoes.
As for the scheduling issues I blogged about in my last post, I think we have gotten it all figured out. I am working at the airport monday from 8-5, and thursday from 12-5. Then I am at the phamracy T,W, & F from 10-7 and sat. 9-6. busy week. Then the week after that, I am just coming in for 2 hours to help make sure the advertising got done. I just got my schedule from the pharmacist, managed to get him to make a couple adjustments for her, then gave it to her and said "this is what I can do..." And she was fine with it. Should have done that in the first place. haha. So I feel a little better about that.

So as an end to this super stressful week, we are leaving tonight to go camping! yay! (the stress won't end until we are on our way of course!) I am working until 5, then I have to run home and shower real quick, pack the ice chest while josh loads the care, then we are leaving! I am super excited. we have several friends coming too. We are going to sly park (jenkinson lake - Pollock Pines, CA)I am excited to be able to go swimming and relax and roast marshmallows!

So anyways, I bid you all a happy weekend, and I will be back to the blogosphere on Sunday night!

Great news!!!!

So I went to CVS Pharmacy for my "interview" today. It wasn't really an interview... I went in, and he told me a job had come available (I posted last time that I had talked to the pharmacist on the phone for a while several weeks back...) and asked if I was still interested.
I said yes, and he said Great! Sent me for a drug test today, and I start next week!

PRAISE GOD!

I will be making just a little more than I am now, but more hours, and Benefits! Which means... no more worrying about Birth Control (well, maybe for another month or two until I know the benefits are going to kick in...) and We can let God decide when he thinks we are ready for a baby!

Thanks for all your prayers!

TGIF!

Thank goodness if's Friday! Yay! I love Fridays, and today I switched shifts at work, so instead of working 12-5, I am working 8-12. =)
Why? Glad you asked! Our good friends Scott and Christy are coming to visit us! I love that our friends like to come visit us! haha.
We are thinking that we may take a trip to Virginia City tomorrow.... It is a really neat little old west town. Most of the buildings are original to the town. Mark Twain even lived there for a while! =) We have been there a few times, as it is only 1/2 hour drive for us! They have this really good little Barbeque place there too... and when I say barbeque... I mean good southern style Barbeque! yumm!

That is one thing I miss about living in Tennessee. There was this little pit BBQ place off of hwy 41 between Springfield and Adams. It was amazing bbq and was super cheap too!
Other things I miss about Tennessee:
1. The Green. Everything is green! so many trees and plants!
2. Being 15 minutes away from several good fishing spots
3. The Pace. People are rarely in a hurry.
4. The cost of Living! My apartment there was almost half the cost of the place we have here, and was almost the same size!
5. The People. Southern people are friendlier. Period.
6. The accents. I love a good drawl.
7. The Thunderstorms. They were amazing!
8. The scenery. Just so beautiful!
9. The Amish stores. Always a treat to go to!
10. My friends. My old Co-workers. =)

It's Friday!

And I just got off work. I should be starting dinner, but I wanted to post a blog first.
I am so glad it is Friday. Tonight Josh is going to the movies with a couple friends to see The Hulk. I didn't really want to see it, so I am going to stay home and clean. or watch HGTV. ;-)

Tomorrow we are going up to my parent's property bright and early to help out with some work. or in my case, sit and watch the guys work and enjoy a good book while sitting and relaxing in the clean mountain air. Hehe. Sunday will probably be a lazy day for us. Although if I don't get my cleaning done, a portion of the day will be spent cleaning. yay! *insert rolling eyes*

Next week I am working full days every day, so I won't have a lot of time to get stuff done around the house and on Wednesday, dinner party's at our house, and then Friday, some good friends of ours are coming out for the weekend and we are going to the rodeo! Fun!

Anyways, like my new blog look? I finally managed to get the three column thing figured out. The banner is my first attempt at one like it, and I am going to work some more on getting a nicer one, but for now, this will have to do!

Well, I should probably get dinner started! Hope everyone has a great weekend! Until next time....

The plan for the week...

Well, today and tomorrow I am working a full day as opposed to a half day like normal. Tomorrow after work, I am driving over to my parents house in California. Then, Thursday morning, me, my mom and dad will hook up the trailer and drive to Tucson, AZ.

Some good friends of Josh and I, Tom and Candy, are moving up to Chico, so we are driving down to move them back up. I am excited to see them! =) So Friday morning, we will get up early, pack everything up, and take off! We will probably drive back to Manteca, maybe get a few hours sleep and then finish to Chico Saturday morning and unpack. I should be back in Carson Saturday night or Sunday sometime. Not too sure, just depends on how things play out.

So, Josh is stuck here without me for like 4 days. I will get back just in time for our 1 year anniversary on Monday, June 9. =)

1 whole year. I can't believe it. In a lot of ways, it feels like it has been so much longer, and yet at other times, it feels like it has flown by. But I can say I have loved almost every moment of it.

So yeah, if you don't hear from me for a few days, that is why! Hope you all have a fabulous week!

Until next time...
