Sledding!

This past weekend we took the kids up to Tahoe to go sledding. I had gotten a groupon deal for a groomed sledding hill, so we thought it would be fun! It was pretty fun despite the fact that Tahoe has a depressing amount of snow right now. The place makes some of their own snow, but it's really only enough to keep the hill from getting muddy. The hill was pretty packed down and slick, and it was a little chaotic.

But, Jack had a blast! He started on the little kiddie hill (Ellie went a couple times with mommy and daddy, and loved it too!) but then I talked him into going on the big hill with me, and he loved it! He would have stayed all day! I was worn out by the time I got to the top of the hill the second time. Then Ellie got really fussy, so we headed home. But it was a fun hour in the snow!

warning: picture overload! (all phone pictures though because I left my camera in the car and didn't want to make the trek back to get it. haha)

No clean up finger painting!

I've been seeing lots of fun toddler activities on pinterest lately, and have been wanting to try some of them. Since I know I have some readers with toddlers, I thought it would be fun to share them with you!

The other day I got the stuff to do mess free finger painting!

you'll need:
-finger paints
-gallon sized ziploc bag
-painters tape
-white paper

Put a few squirts of finger paint in ziploc bag and seal. Tape onto table on top of the white paper. Let your toddler "paint" with it.

Jack loved this, and it was really neat!

Vacation!

Sorry I've been AWOL, but we were on vacation! My parents, grandma, sister, brother and his wife all went to Daytona Beach, Florida. It was my first time in Florida, and it was nice! We stayed right on the beach, which was awesome!
(here was our view...)

We spent a lot of time at the beach and in the pool (check out this pool!)

Jack had so much fun swimming, and by the last day was running around on the beach and in the water...

Ellie loved the water too. We would hold her and she would sit and just splash and splash!

One day we went to the St. Augustine Alligator Farm, and that was pretty neat. Jack loves "agagors," so he loved walking around and seeing all the different gators and crocodiles. =)

We spent a lot of time with Josh's grandma and aunt and uncle. It was the first time any of them have met Jack and Ellie, and we haven't seen them in almost 5 years! We had fun, got spoiled, and ate way too much! Josh took Jack to his first Baseball game (the Daytona cubs) and he loved it!

Here are more fun pictures from the week. =)

Halloween Weekend!

We had a pretty busy weekend! It all started Friday night with our church's Harvest fair. We took Jack and he got to go "Trunk or Treating." He finally got the hang of it at about the last car. hehe... but he was all prepared for Halloween! He got some candy (for mom and dad of course!) and got to play some fun games!

Then on Saturday morning, we went out to watch the Nevada Day Parade! Oct. 31st is when Nevada because a state, and it is a big holiday here! They have the state's largest parade and everything! It was fun, and we left after 3 hours and they were still going! We got some fun pictures though!

Saturday night we went to some friends for a costume party. I didn't take any pictures though!

Then of course Sunday was Halloween! Jack and I went to our Friend's house to go trick or treating with them and their little guy. Jack loved it!

Overall, we had a fun weekend! (except for Josh being sick...) How was your Halloween?f
