14 weeks old

My little guy is getting so big! He weighed in at 13lb 10 oz today, and is 24 inches long! =) I took some pictures today, including some in his halloween costume! =)

3 Months!

I can't believe my little baby is 3 months old! He is such a great baby. He is sleeping 6-8 hours at night, which is awesome! He is starting to grab things, follows noises, and has laughed twice. Once at my mom, and once at me. Such a sweet sound!
He is just about in all 3-6 month clothes, though some of the 0-3 month stuff still fits him. And, we are getting ready to move up to size 2 diapers.
Overall, he is just a happy baby. He only really cried when he is hungry, dirty or tired. He goes to sleep easily at night. I feed him, change him, swaddle him and put him down, and he is usually asleep within 15 minutes. It is so nice! (I know, I know... just wait for the next baby... haha)

11 1/2 weeks

Jack is 11 1/2 weeks old, and starting to put things in his mouth... mostly his hands and his bib. :-)

Goodbye...

Tonight we are saying goodbye to our dog, Stella.


It was not a very easy decision to get rid of her, but she has made it easier lately. She has had so much energy, and is constantly demanding attention.

I don't even want to know how hard it would be when Jack starts crawling. And with my lunches getting cut at work, I wouldn't be able to come home during the day to let her out anymore.

So, she is going to a new home... a family with another dog who live on a ranch. I think she will love having lots of room to run!

It is bittersweet letting her go. She is a great dog, and we love her to death. She is loyal, and loving and just a sweetheart. But on the other hand, she has a ton of energy, sheds like you wouldn't believe, has separation anxiety, and constantly wants attention. So we feel this is the right thing to do.

But I am hoping the new family will keep us updated, send us the occasional picture, and maybe even let us stop by if we ever drive up north.

So goodbye, dear friend..... you will be missed...

I closed comments, because I had a rude comment, which was leading into a petty argument.. We Knew Stella was a handful before we got pregnant. She became even more demanding after the baby was born, and it was just too much. We were planning to keep her, but she deserved more than we could give her. We went to great lengths to make sure she was adopted into a "Husky" home. If we didn't care about her, we would have just sold her. she was purebred, papered and unaltered. we could have gotten a good amount of money from her, but chose instead to give her a good home through a rescue, for no compensation.

Dread

That is only one of the many words I can use to describe how I feel...

Sad, Nervous, Anxious, Emotional....

Why do I feel this way? Because I have to go back to work Monday.

And that means I have to take Jack to daycare. I am tearing up just writing this post. I want more than anything to be able to stay home with my baby.

Now, instead of being home with him all day, I get to let other people raise him for 8 hours a day. It really sucks. I never imagined it would be this hard.

I feel like my true calling in life is to be a stay at home mom, and I pray that that can happen sooner rather than later....

But as for now, I will hold back the tears, and go back to a place where I highly dislike working... but not without hope that someday soon My job will be in my own home.

News on the house front

Well, after a battle trying to get a loan (apparently we weren't pre-approved, just pre-qualified) we finally found a lender who would work with us and go out of his way to help us figure out how to get the money we need! (and a bad mark on a credit report that wasn't really our fault didn't help any!)
But after a couple days thinking it wasn't going to work out, and we weren't going to get the house after all, our hopes are finally high!
We went and signed more paperwork today, got all the needed info to the lender, and things are on their way! The next step is the inspection, which is set for next tuesday. Hopefully there won't be anything major wrong, because the chances of getting it fixed are slim (it's bank owned)
But if everything happens like it should, we will be closing on Nov. 18th! We will be in our new house for the holidays! yay!
I am so excited, I can't wait!
