Tropical Traditions Coconut Cream Concentrate Review & Giveaway!

Guess what? We have another review and giveaway from Tropical Traditions! This time I got to try the Coconut Cream Concentrate!

Let me share a little about Tropical Traditions Coconut Cream Concentrate from their site:

Coconut Cream Concentrate is certified organic whole coconut meat in concentrated form. It contains no additives* (not even water). The dried coconut meat is ground into a very fine powder, giving it a creamy consistency due to its high fat content. Since it is 70% fat, it is a rich source of pure coconut oil. Note: this is a food, not a cooking oil.

You can mix 1 or 2 teaspoons of Coconut Cream Concentrate with water or juice to make a creamy coconut milk drink. It is also an excellent ingredient for cooking and baking. Because of its low moisture content, it can be mixed right in the batter or dough of breads and pastries. It can also enhance soups, be blended with smoothies, or made into ice cream. Many people just eat it straight, or spread it on breads and crackers, because it is so delicious! For some great recipes, get the Virgin Coconut Oil book.

Remember that if you have never ordered from Tropical Traditions before and you use my referral number you will get this book for free with your first order. The book contains interesting information about benefits that people have experienced in using the coconut oil in their daily health and diet plan, plus it includes 85 great recipes! When you place an order with them as a first-time customer, please select “Referred by a friend” and then in the box that says “How did you hear of us?” enter my sponsor ID number #6069684. By telling Tropical Traditions that I referred you, you will receive a complimentary copy of the book with your first order and I will receive something too! Once you have placed your first order, you can also get a referral number to share with your friends and family!

Anyways, this sat on my counter for a while before I got around to trying it.. my first taste was just me sticking my finger in... it was good! not sweet, but very coco-nutty!
I decided to try adding it to a smoothie, and it tasted good, but because of the high coconut oil content, it was hard below like 75 degrees, and I had lots of little tiny chunks of coconut cream concentrate in my smoothie. Haha.

Next I decided to try the Coffee Heaven recipe, which is basically coffee with coconut cream concentrate, cocoa powder and sweetener (I used splenda.) This was good! Tasted like a mocha with a subtle coconut undertone.

I think next I want to try the Spicy Coconut Fish... I have a bag of frozen Tilapia filets in my freezer that are begging me to try it! hehe.

I think I will have fun using this in different things and trying out new recipes!

Want to get some for yourself? Head over to Tropical Traditions.
