Mojito's...

are yummy. =) I just finished one. And I'm not talking about a premade mix. I mean lime juice, run, mint leaves and sugar. Very nice. =)
Anyways, I just wanted to post some updates. Since they are random, I am just going to number them.
1. My job is going great! I got my license from the State on Monday, so the past 2 days I have been filling prescriptions, and entering prescriptions and refills, and learning even more stuff! Fun! I am really enjoying it. And I am learning a TON!
2. Our 4 favorite fish dies while we were camping. =( We didn't clean the tank before we left and the filter quit working and it got really dirty. (it really didnt look that bad when we left and we were only gone 4 days!) It sucked. We liked those fish a lot.
3. My garden is growing! I have 2 zucchini that will be ready in a couple days, about 10 tomatoes growing, and 5 bell peppers that are almost ripe. (can anyone tell me if they turn colors on the vine or after you pick them? cause they are supposed to be red and yellow and are still green even though they are pretty good sized.)
4. I have been entering giveaways like crazy all week over at Bloggy Giveaways! It is an annual blogger giveaway carnival, and there are over 900 giveaways you can enter! SO much neat stuff!
5. I decided that going off the pill sucks. I was woken up at 3am this morning to a dream that I was having massive cramps, only to wake up and realize it wasnt a dream. Hello Vicoden. I was finally able to fall back asleep with the aid of heavy duty pain killers.
6. We have decided that we are going to wait until the end of the year to start trying to have a baby. We aren't quite ready yet. (Nor do we have insurance yet.) It will give us a little more time to prepare. Though I have stopped taking the pill, and it could happen, we are trying to prevent it for now. If it happens, It was meant to be, and God will help us out. =)

Well, that is all I can think of for now. I am off to bed now. =) Have a great day!

Praise God!

Thank you all so much for praying for my friend... She had her appointments yesterday, and this is the email I got from her this morning:

Hey Katrina,
Thanks for all of your prayers. So we went to our appointment yesterday, and we had an ultrasound first. The ultrasound was really good. It was so cool we could see the feet, hands, and she was sticking her hands in her mouth. It was really cute. Anyway the radiologist(i think that is what they are called) did the ultrasound. He was really good, and has been doing it for thirty years. So pretty much he has seen everything under the sun. He looked at the baby, and told us that he did not see anything to be concerned with. The doctor came in after that and agreed with the radiologist. They told me that they would be more worried about her driving in 16 years then any problem now. Such a relief. I do not know if she never had a problem or that God healed her. All I do know is God certainly answered my prayer!! So in 4 months we should have a healthy little girl. She was on the smaller side. I figure the same thing will happen that happened with Jake. I will probably be induced and have a small baby. Thats ok with me though.

Praise God! He definitely answers prayers! Thanks again everyone!

Prayer Please!

I was just talking to a friend of mine back in Tennessee, and she is 22 weeks pregnant, and found out that her precious baby girl could possibly have some problems. The connective tissue between her cerebellum and spinal cord has not developed completely,
which is really really rare so that doctor told her that he really couldn't tell her what to expect. The baby could be fine or she could have a host of problems. So he referred her to a pediatric neurosurgeon at Vanderbilt and on wed she has an appointment with an ob doc, a surgeon, and a Neonatologist.
Please, please, please keep this young family in your prayers! Her husband is away with the Military, and she has a 2 year old at home. Pray that God can heal that baby if there are any issues, that she is born healthy, and for peace for both of them!

Thank you so much for any prayers... if anyone has any words of encouragement they want to send to her, feel free to email me and I will pass it on.

God Bless!

hmm....

So on Monday, Before leaving Manteca, Josh and I went to a bbq of some long time family friends. There were a bunch of kids there, and one particularly adorable 9 month old little boy. He was laughing and smiling, and just being cute. I held him for a while, and got to play with him a bit.

Fast Forward....

Tonight we are driving home from Adam and Renee's house, and josh looks at me and says "Would you want to have a baby, like soon?" and I'm all "what" (He has always been like "oh, in 3 or 4 years...") And I'm like "why" and he's all... "well, that darn baby at the DaVolt's house... kinda made me want one" HAHA! I told him I wouldn't mind having one right now, except that we don't have insurance. But maybe if I can find a job as a Pharmacy Tech soon, then maybe we can start trying.

We also talked about me going off the pill after next month when I run out, and just letting nature take it's course from there. Although not trying for a couple months to let the hormones and crap get out of my system. (well, just being careful around the right time of the month.)

So yeah... I never thought I would hear the phrase "I want to have a baby" come out of my husband's mouth. At least not so soon! hehe. Definitely makes me smile.
