Tuesday, February 14, 2012 Review and giveaway!

When we bought our house, I was really excited to finally have a yard where I could plant whatever I wanted. I knew I always wanted some kind of berry bushes, so I was excited when offered to send me a thornless blackberry bush!

I love blackberries, but was skeptical to get a bush because of the little ones we have... wouldn't want them to fall into thorns! So when I saw they had a thornless variety, I was thrilled!

It was shipped and arrived very quickly via fed-ex. I was really curious how it would arrive. It came in a box that had a special cutout to allow for the pot, and to keep it from falling around in the box.

It is a good size too. It is just a single stock right now, but it is about 2 feet tall, so I am sure once we plant it, it will grow fairly quickly. =) I can't wait for spring!

This is from their site:
"The trees we sell have been selected according to the highest of standards. We have taken into account not only the growth rate of a given tree, but all the other elements that make a tree truly desirable. We have searched out a variety of fast-growing cultivars that offer such benefits as drought tolerance, disease resistance, adaptability to soil and growing conditions, and tolerance to weather, pollution, and climate.

We deliver trees all across the country... so whether you're looking for Florida trees, Texas trees, California trees, trees for any other state, we make sure that your new trees arrive in great condition.

We want your landscape to look as vibrant as possible, which is why we provide you with mature, developed trees. They can be up to several years older than shade trees at other nurseries... so they are low-maintenance and faster growing."

They have a great looking site, and lots of great looking plants and trees! I will definitely look to them first if I am wanting to plant anything else! They were very friendly and helpful, and have quick shipment!

So if you are wanting to plant anything this year, check out first!

Fast Growing Trees is also giving you the chance to win a Meyer Lemon Tree! I am jealous! haha. Enter on the Rafflecopter form below!

We have a few lilac bushes around the house so I can't wait until it gets warm and they start blooming. I love it when I open the windows and the house just fills with the smell of lilacs.
