Happy Baby Organics Review and Giveaway!

I was really excited when I was recently given the opportunity to review Happy Baby Organics line of baby foods. I am always on the lookout for good food and snacks for Jack that are good for him, and that he likes.

They sent me coupons to try products from each of their lines including the infant cereals, the frozen baby foods, the happybites, happypuffs and happymelts.

Happybellies Organic Cereals: The Happybellies cereals are enriched with DHA for eye and brain development, plus iron, vitamins and minerals essential to baby's health. They also incorporate the power of probiotics to help strengthen your baby's digestive system which can protect against the development of allergies The cereals come in three varieties (all certified organic) Brown Rice, Multi-grain, and oatmeal.

I mixed these with Jack's fruits and veggies for his meals, and he ate it with no problems! I got the whole grain cereal and the brown rice cereal. I love that they have the probiotics in them, and I think it helps keep him from getting constipated like with some other cereals. =)

HAPPYBABY frozen meals: Happy Baby frozen meals are the next best thing to homemade. With 12 individually frozen cubes in each package, there is no waste and since the cubes can be popped out of the packaging, there is no need to heat in plastic (no BPA). They come in 8 different packages of 15 delicious varieties. I got the Baby Dahl and mama grain (red lentils and veggie, and quinoa, black bean and banana,) and the chick chick (chicken veggie and chicken pilaf)

Jack liked all of them except the mama grain. I think it was the texture that he didn't care for. He has issues with textures, and the quinoa is definitely a different texture. But overall, they were a hit!

Happybites: Happybites are nutritionally balanced meals for your toddlers and young children. They come in great options like Salmon Sticks, Mac+Cheese, Fish Bites, Veggie Tots, Chicken Bites, and Breakfast Pockets. What is even better is that they are packed with hidden veggies in every bite.

Jack loved these! Since he is still a bit young, I cut them up into small bite size pieces for him. He devoured the mac-n-cheese one, and the salmon sticks were well recieved too.

HappyMelts: Happymelts are the only organic freeze dried yogurt snack on the market and the only baby food with prebiotics and probiotics! Made from organic yogurt and fruit, Happymelts make a healthy, protein rich and low-sugar, snack for your little ones (and you!) Happymelts are available in Banana Mango, Strawberry, and Mixed Berry flavors. They are gluten free and contain no Preservatives.

Jack absolutely loves these. Right now he is anti puffs, and will only eat these. I like that they aren't too sweet, but they are good for him. =)

HappyPuffs: HappyPuffs are made from whole grains, come in three organic flavors (Banana, Greens and Apple) and are supplemented with vitamins and minerals. While their packaging looks the same size as their competitors, they actually come in green packaging that allows them to offer 40% more in each container, while passing savings on to their customers.

Jack likes these. Well, at least he did. He is on an anti-puff kick right now, and will only eat the yogurt melts. But when I first got these, he gobbled them up!

Overall, I would have to say we are very happy with these products. I will definitely continue to buy these on occasion in the future. The only thing is that they can be a little pricey. Being on a very strict budget, there isn't always room for these kinds of goodies. Though for convenience baby foods and snacks, I believe they are competitively priced.

Happy Baby not only makes tasty organic foods for your babies but they also do their part and give back. For every package you buy, they work with Project Peanut Butter—a non-profit that provides food for starving children in Malawi—to feed one child for one day!

HappyBaby Products can be purchased direct from their website, or at a number of large retailers such as Babies"R"Us, Target, Whole Foods, and online at Amazon.com. To find the store nearest you, visit their store locator.

Or you can win! Happy Baby has generously offered a prize pack to one of my readers! It includes 2 free trial coupons for each of the Happy Baby product lines, 1 FAQ on Probiotics & DHA, 1 Nutrition Guide, co-authoed by Dr. Sears and 1 HAPPYFAMILY Recipes.

I didn't realize that prebiotics just hang out in your digestive tract to promote healthy bacteria.

Creepy but cool!
