Boudreaux's Butt Paste Rash Protector Review

I was recently asked to test and review a new Boudreaux's Butt Paste Product via SparkPeople. It is a Rash Protector and Daily Skin Protectant. It is supposed to help prevent and protect against diaper rash.



This is what it says:
- Temporarily protects chapped or cracked skin
- Helps seal out wetness
- Helps protect from minor skin irritations associated with diaper rash.
- Fast and easy to apply
- Clear continuous mist

It has Peruvian Balsam for healthy skin, and also has dimethicone (skin protectant) aloe oil extract, mineral oil, shea liquid and vitamin E

My thoughts:
It was not what I expected at all. I thought it would be a light mist, but it came out as a thicker oil. It smelled nice, and it seemed to work well. Jack had some redness that looked like a diaper rash was starting after we got back from a long car ride, so I went ahead and put this on before bed the other night. When I changed him in the morning, his skin looked like it was back to normal. And that was after all night without a diaper change too!

It is in a convenient little spray container with a lid on it that would make it easy to throw in the diaper bag too.

The only thing I wish was different was the spray. I wish it came out more as a mist. It comes out more as a thin stream, and it kinda surprised me the first time I used it and he got way more than he needed on his bum. It was a little hard to get less to come out. I think a mist would help with that. But I just used my finger to spread it around a little, like I would a cream, and it worked fine!

But overall, I liked it. I like Boudreaux's Butt Paste products, and swear by their Butt paste! I think I would recommend this to anyone who had problems with diaper rash or irritated skin. =)
