Quite the little laughing machine!

I love it when Jack gets to laughing. It still isn't an everyday thing, but once you get him started, he has us cracking up too!
Josh took this video tonight of Jack:

Here are a couple other pictures from tonight. =)

Lucky Mom!

My mom got a new car for Christmas.... Lucky her!

They decided to test it out by driving out to visit us for a few days! It was great to have them visit, as always! They took us out to eat, and we did a little after Christmas shopping and got a few necessities. =) Josh and my dad fixed the door jam to the garage that Stella had chewed up after we first got her. One thing of the list to do before we move. =)
It was a nice relaxing visit!

Jack's First Christmas

This Christmas we pretty much relaxed at home and hung out. We woke up and opened the few presents we had (mostly toys for Jack, and a hat I had gotten Josh back in October) Then we headed over to our friend's house for breakfast. That was nice. Their whole family was there, and we did a White elephant exchange. I ended up with a bunch of Candy, and Josh got a cotton Candy maker. (Just what we needed!) haha.
Then we came home and just relaxed the rest of the day. Here are some pictures!

Hope you all had a good Christmas as well!

M.I.A.

Sorry I've been m.i.a. lately. =) I have been busy lately...

This past weekend, we went to my parent's house for our family Christmas celebrations. Saturday we went to my cousins house, and did a gift exchange with my grandma, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Sunday, my family went to church, then came home, opened presents, then went out to eat. Jack got tons of toys, books and a couple blankets, I got some clothes, a couple books, a dutch oven and pressure cooker, a Chris Tomlin CD, a purse, and a necklace.

Yesterday Jack turned 5 months old! He is getting so big! He is about 16 1/2 lbs and 25 1/2 inches. He is still right in the 50th percentile for height and weight. He also recently discovered his feet. It is so cute, he grabs them every chance he gets. He is getting close to sitting up on his own too.

I also got a letter from unemployment saying they denied me benefits. I am appealing it, but until then we are really cutting back on things. We are canceling our Dish network, and we are planning on moving next month into a cheaper townhouse. It is bigger though, so that will be nice. =) I was also able to qualify for WIC, so they are helping with formula and a little bit of food, which helps. Formula is expensive!

I am looking into how to get a childcare license so I can to in home daycare. (one or two children) to help with income. It is really hard to find jobs right now (though I am looking)

So anyways, that's what's been going on with us the past week. I will try and update more...
I will leave you with some pictures from this weekend! =)

Airplanes, cats and Jumpers

Just a few new videos to share!

Jack loves airplane rides from his Daddy!

He also loves staring at (and hitting) the cat, Maddie. Thank God we have a cat who doesn't care if you abuse her, as long as she gets attention. haha.

He also loves his bouncer!

And he really loves his crinkle book!

Parents, I need your advice!

So lately I have been putting Jack down for naps, and letting him cry himself to sleep...
It is rough! We are a week in so far...

His average crying time is about 45 minutes. He had one day where he was so tired he only cried for about 20 minutes, but one day he cried for an hour and a half before we finally went in and got him.
I go in about every 10 minutes and try and soothe him, rub his head, give him his pacifier, and try and get him to calm down.

Does anyone have any tips? It seems to not be getting any better... most people say it only takes like 4-5 days before their baby is sleeping better. We are already at a week!

I know some people don't agree with the Cry it out method, and I don't want any criticism, please. My parents used this method with me, and I turned out fine. =) I am just looking for any tips or advice anyone may have!

Thanks!
