I am so stressed right now. We have no money. We make decent money, but it all goes to bills, debt and groceries. We have medical bills from labwork and visits my stupid insurance didn't pay for or applied to my deductible in the amount of $600-700 that I have no clue how we are going to pay. I have to figure out which bills to pay first so that we have enough money to pay them all... and pray they all get paid on time.
Not to mention I am pregnant, and my medical bills are just going to get higher. I really wish I knew what to do. I feel lost. I am stressed, tired, sick and just.... I don't know.
Sorry for the negative mood... I just needed to get that out.

I know this isn't the most comforting, but I want to offer you one thing to consider that might help destress you...
Knowing what medical group you are with, you don't have to pay for the visits now. You don't even have to pay a copay now. They will wait until it is all over (like after the 6 week post delivery visit) to begin billing and they will make payment arrangments too.
The hospital has payment programs as well. There are discounts you can get, financing options - even with insurance you can do this.
I know it isn't much, but I did want to offer a small glimmer of hope.
Bills suck, I can so relate, but please don't allow the stress of that to overwhelm you. This is the time in your pregnancy that your stress level needs to stay down. Lean on your Husband - that is why God gave him to you.
I hope at least this offers a tiny bit of comfort. And just remember about the baby - when first born they don't need tons of stuff. Don't worry if you don't have a nursery full of toys and such. A nice place to sleep, some nice warm clothes, diapers, you know, necessities, that is what will matter.
And stay warm and safe this week - the snow is starting!
Seriously, me too. I'm not even pregnant. No money and too many bills. Sucks, sucks, sucks.
You. will. get. through. this. -- I promise... Things are working behind the scenes that you don't know of and can't see --
Hey! I might have told you about this already but I CANNOT emphasize how much it has helped us financially. Check out www.daveramsey.com and see if they have a Financial Peace University class near you. I think to take the class is less that $100 and it was the best money we ever spent, even when we were strapped for money. If you can't do that you should get The Total Money Makeover book which is the condensed version of F.P.U. I loved the class because it offered accountability and went much MUCH deeper.
In our first two years of marriage we paid of $30k in debt and are now debt free and own a home. We NEVER are stressed about money, and have NEVER had one fight about money or purchases since taking it.
I know it sounds like an infomercial, but you know me, and know I wouldn't be advertising for something I didn't beleive in!! :)
Katrina, I know money can be a touchy issue, but I have lots of resources I can refer for you to help you and Josh figure things out and make your own decisions. If you're interested, just let Renee or I know!
I pray that god provides you with all that you need :).
As a word of encouragement, just because the insurance company denied something once doesn't mean they will never pay it.
And if they don't, the fees are often negotiable. The insurance company i have usually only pays 30% of what is billed because that's what they have negotiated. Medical billing is really really weird.
So don't feel trapped!
