(NOT rubbing it in!!!) we started the "cry it out" thing right about then. of course there's been a sickness or something random where they'll wake up. but even still, unless catie's sick, if she wakes up in the middle of the night we let her cry. every once in a while she will wake up at about 5:30 or 6 in the morning, but i make her cry it out. we don't start our days before 7:30, just something i'm a stickler about. here's my reasoning and why i'm not a horrible mom (lol): if she typically sleeps from 8pm-7:30am, i KNOW her body can go that long without being hungry. she does not physically NEED food. does that make sense?
as far as naps go, gabbi took two naps a day right until she was one. when she turned one, we started weeding out the morning nap. she took 2 naps off and on until she was about 15 months old. catie still takes 2 (sometimes 3) naps. both of them are big sleepers. until recently, now gabbi seems to play through her nap time. i still give her that "rest" time though, whether she naps or not. we all need it!!! jack's napping will work itself out and you'll find a groove, i'm sure.
so glad to hear he's turned a corner and you're getting some sleep. you deserve it, girl!bekahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18169937401715469552noreply@blogger.com
